IFSS- "Thursdays"
"Thursday's" began in March 1998, as a response to an unmet need expressed by families with adult children suffering with mental illness. As is the case with many adults diagnosed with major mental illness, many live at home with their families. Many of their childhood friends have long gone on, finished school, gotten married, began careers and started families of their own. This has left many of these adults isolated without an adequate support system and heavily dependent upon their families for socialization and recreational activities. "Thursday's" was thus established to create a welcoming environment for socialization and also as a means for respite for the family.
"Thursday's" does not charge a fee for most activities. Doors open at 6:30pm every Thursday night and is closed at 9pm. Below you will find the most recent schedule of events. There is no need for your loved one to sign up, just show up!
